Award-winning artist Deirdre Shibano is well known for her beautiful landscape paintings in plein-air as well as her portraiture and figurative work. Originally educated at the Art Students League in New York City, Deirdre received the Merit Scholarship Award and Ford Foundation Grant. She studied with Andrew Lukach, Vaclav Vytlacyl and Robert Glacier. She was trained in both the traditional approach to painting and in Abstract Expressionism. Although Deirdre has taught both drawing and painting in private and public sectors for many years, she continues to study with prominent artists from around the world.
Deirdre has exhibited in many Bay Area galleries including Studio Gallery in San Francisco, Studio Kokomo in Calistoga, Jessel Gallery in Napa as well as Xanadu Gallery in Scottsdale, Arizona.
