California-based, self-educated artist James Jarrett has been exhibiting and selling his medium to large scale mixed media, bold minimalism color paintings throughout California, the USA, and internationally since 2000.
Whether Jarrett is painting people, places, or things, there is no doubt he is greatly influenced by the energy and passion experienced through his love for traveling. He conveys his experiences through rich color, transparent subtle glazes, and or thick textured surfaces that can stir a sense of peace, inspiration, motivation, passion and excitement.
James Jarrett’s work is currently collected and displayed by several private and corporate collections. Recent solo exhibitions include Hall Wines in St. Helena, 12 Gallagher Lane Gallery in San Francisco and Robert Mondavi Winery in Oakville. His work is currently displayed at Thomas Bartlett in Napa’s Riverfront. Jarrett’s studios are in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
